 As the 2024-2025 Premier League season kicks off, several key players are set to miss the opening matches due to injuries sustained during preseason or previous campaigns.


1. Moisés Caicedo (Chelsea):One of Chelsea's major summer signings, Caicedo, suffered an injury during preseason, and although his condition isn’t severe, it remains uncertain if he will be fit for the first match. Chelsea will hope he recovers quickly to bolster their midfield 


2. Reece James (Chelsea): Another significant absentee for Chelsea is Reece James, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. His absence will be a considerable blow to Chelsea's defense, given his importance to the team
